Obituary
Anna Louise Toole, 79, of New Athens, passed away on Sunday March 19, 2023 at Gables Care Center surrounded by her family. She was born April 7, 1943 in Wheeling, West Virginia a daughter of the late Cloyd Ellis and Edith Pauline Abel.
She was a member of the House of the Shepherd Church in New Athens. She was a clerk for JC Penny and held various other jobs, but most of all a mom to her daughters.
She was preceded in addition to her parents; a granddaughter, Elisha Toole and her 2 brothers: Kenneth E. Abel and Eugene (Pete) Abel.
Surviving are 2 daughters: Twila (David Sechrest) Ronevich of Scio and Tina (Lanny) Sterms of New Athens; 4 grandchildren: Christopher, Lesli, Ashley and Kyle; a number of great grandchildren; a sister, Jean (Pete) Tuchek of New Athens; sister-in-law, Janice Abel of New Athens; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 25 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the House of the Shepherd, 125 Culbertson Drive, New Athens, Ohio 43981 with Rev. Pete Tuchek officiating. Burial will follow at Longview Cemetery, New Athens, Ohio. The family is being assisted by Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz, Ohio.
