Ruth Straub

Ruth Straub, 82, Cadiz, died Sunday April 26, 2009 at UPMC in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was born June 8, 1926 in Wheeling, West Virginia a daughter of the late Phillip and Sarah Schrumpf Fuller. Ruth was the owner/operator of the Meadowlark Inn, Cadiz; a member of the Cadiz Aerie #2162 Auxiliary; and the Hopedale American Legion Auxiliary. Ruth was preceded in death in addition to her parents, by her husband Henry (Hank) Straub; 3 sisters: Betty Russell, June Watson, and Shirley Schramack. Surviving are a daughter, Bonnie Whitehead of Cadiz; a son, Henry Straub of Wheeling; 1 granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn (Chad) Spano of Hopedale; 2 grandsons: Jeff Straub and Rafe Straub; 2 great granddaughters: Ashley and Caleigh; 1 sister, Virgnia Schell of Illinois; and a brother, Sam (Muriel) Fuller of Missouri. Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 30, from 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where funeral service will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. R.J. Leek officiating.
