Frank Krankovich, 59, Cadiz, died Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, Ohio. He was born August 10, 1952 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a son of the late Daniel and Martha Manbeck Krankovich. Frank was a former employee of Y. & O. Coal Co., Nelms # 2 Mine, the Scio Pottery, and Friendship Park. He was a former Study Hall Monitor and Custodian at Harrison Central High School and a Veteran of the Marine Corps during the Viet Nam Era. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Dana Keith Krankovich in 1975 and by a sister Rose Krankovich. Surviving are his wife Sally Cope Krankovich; a daughter, Brittany Krankovich of the home; 2 brothers: Daniel Krankovich of Belpre and William Krankovich of Cadiz; five sisters: Kay Martin, Mary Ferriera, Donna Volan, Linda Berard, and Martha Gatts all of Cadiz; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 18 from 2-4 and 6-8 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church, 154 W. Market St., Cadiz, with Rev. R.J. Leek officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brittany Krankovich Education Fund, c/o Huntington Bank, 657 Lincoln Ave., Cadiz, OH 43907.
